Elrec Pro Std. / Switch

10 channels

The Elrec Pro is a 10 channel Induced Polarisation (IP) and Resistivity receiver designed to improve productivity when recording deep profiles and soundings. Beside the classical arithmetic and logarithmic modes, ELREC Pro also offers a Cole-Cole mode and twenty fully programmable windows for a higher flexibility in the definition of the IP decay curve.

A setup wizard guides the operator through each parameter to ensure the instrument is configured correctly.

The system includes built-in quality control tools to aid the operator validate measurements during data acquisition, and displays IP decay curves in real time.

The Elrec Pro is designed for use with the TIPIX and VIP high-power transmitters’ series. The Elrec automatically synchronizes (and re-synchronizes at each new pulse) with the transmission signal, through the waveform recognition process, ensuring high measurement repeatability.

For large 2D and 3D surveys, the Elrec can be used in conjunction with the Switch Pro box(es) to increase the spread to 120 electrodes. When operating the system in this manner, complex measurement sequences can be designed and uploaded to the system via Electre II or Electre Pro software.

Alternatively, the Elrec Pro Switch makes it possible to switch the 10 channels of the receiver among the 48, 72, 96 or 120 electrodes. It is the combination of Elrec Pro and Switch Pro in a single box. In practice, it allows 48, 72, 96 or 120 electrodes to be connected to the device by multi-electrode cables. Thanks to a pre-programmed sequence, for each injection, the Elrec Pro Switch will be able to measure a large number of reception dipoles automatically without the operator having to intervene.

On surveys performed with an Elrec Pro Switch, the reception electrodes are installed before the start of the measurement and the operator only takes care of moving the injection electrodes. The acquisition time can be greatly reduced compared to receivers comprising a large number of measurement channels, which do not have an automatic switch.

Complex measurement sequences can be designed and uploaded to the system via Electre II or Electre Pro software.
